We translate for refugees from Ukraine

Update March 2022: After the outbreak of war, we provide many translations in Ukrainian for refugees from Ukraine in Germany and Austria: information brochures, websites and videos about integration in Germany, childcare, psychological help, school, education, language courses, work and the labour market. Our clients are the Federal Ministry of Health, the Robert Koch Institute, cities and municipalities such as Oberhausen, Leverkusen, Wuppertal, private agencies for job placement from Germany and Austria, such as for medical staff.

Integration and work for Ukrainians in Germany and Austria

Most translations concern the topic of integration. Moving to Germany and abroad in general is not easy for all refugees. They leave their destroyed houses and flats in Ukraine. Many of them want to go back home when the war is over, but first they have to think about how they now have to reorganise their lives in Germany. Some need psychological help from psychologists.

We translate for them various brochures and leaflets with information and advice on how to learn German in Germany, how German schools and universities work, how to get a place in kindergarten for their children, how and where to look for work, etc. Last but not least, how to overcome their fears.

Many cities and municipalities inform Ukrainian refugees about recreational opportunities for them and their children in the cities and surrounding areas. This happens through info brochures and apps for iOS and Android gadgets about museums, parking and other attractions. We translate all this just as professionally as technical, medical, legal or other documents.

Medical translations Ukrainian

Speaking of medical translations. Our translation service has been an official partner of the German Federal Ministry of Health since 2022. We provide translations into Ukrainian for both the ministry itself and the well-known Robert Koch Institute. Independently, we translate medical reports and other medical documents for private individuals. German - Ukrainian and Ukrainian - German translations are carried out by our professional translators who specialise in medical translations. Translations in the field of psychology are also included.

Certified translations Ukrainian - German - Ukrainian

Every Ukrainian or almost every Ukrainian needs certified translations of various documents such as birth certificates, marriage certificates, diplomas and other documents in order to integrate successfully in Germany. Such translations may only be carried out by translators accredited in Germany. Whether you need a German - Ukrainian or Ukrainian - German translation, we can provide translations in both language combinations.

Do you have any questions? We are always happy to help. Email your enquiries and questions to info@ukrainisch.eu and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Frequently asked questions

Do you only translate into Ukrainian for refugees? You often hear them talking in Russian.
For many refugees from eastern regions of Ukraine, which were particularly devastated, Russian is the second or even the first mother tongue. However, the official language of the country is Ukrainian. We translate into both languages, depending on the client's wishes.
Where do your translators live and work?
Some of the translators in our translation agency live in Germany, others in Ukraine. During the air raids and afterwards, there are unfortunately often interruptions in the power supply, so that we cannot always get their translations on time. Our clients understand this. We try to provide the translators in Ukraine with orders first and foremost because it is vital for them.
What about interpreting for refugees?
We at our head office in Wuppertal are happy to interpret for Ukrainians in Wuppertal and the surrounding areas. In other cities there are always interpreters, including volunteers, who are happy to help with various visits to the authorities or other matters.
When translating into and from Ukrainian, can one use automatic translators such as Google Translator or DeepL?
Yes, of course. For general understanding in private use, they are perfectly sufficient. But for translations of articles, brochures, websites, a living translator must be used. In the case of medical, legal or technical translations, it is best to even have proofreading by a second translator or an editor, as in our translation agency.
